JOB TITLE:    Volunteer Youth Cheerleading Coach 
EMPLOYER: City of West Park

REPORTS TO: Recreation Manager
PAY RANGE: Volunteer (No Pay)
EFFECTIVE DATE: 5/3/2023 

SUMMARY: A successful volunteer candidate will play an active role in the City’s cheerleading program by promoting a positive and encouraging environment with the youth group programs for operational success. The purpose of this position is to provide support to athletic activities, have daily contact with the public, and require the ability to interact with City staff, volunteers and individuals of various backgrounds in a professional, positive, and tactful manner at all times. Independent judgment is required to identify, select and apply the most appropriate of available guidelines and procedures. This position is responsible for designing and implementing basic sports strategies, scheduling team practices and games, and ensuring all team members get equal playing time.
